If you clicked this Post and don’t know what the Tough Mudder is…well it is exactly what Team BOA did yesterday out in Temecula, CA. It is a grueling 12 mile mud run, with 25 military obstacles designed by the British Special Forces. It involved scaling walls, crawling thru barb wire, lot’s of uphill climbing, and the worst for me was swimming through ice water and then 10,000 volts of electric shock therapy. They coined it as “Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet”. It was probably the toughtest thing we did in our lives, but probably one of the most fun.

before the race:

There were 5 members to Team BOA and took us exactly 4:03 to finish.  At around mile 10 I started to suffer major cramps in both my calves. I have to say they saved the last 4 obstacles for the  end just to test your mental fortitude. I was the last to finish with all of Team BOA rooting for me to finish, I made it through the last few obstacles with major pain but made I it through. There was no quitting or plan B, this was a perfect example of teamwork, perseverance, and indomitable spirit…exactly the kind of energy we want at BOA. Walter and I decided the only way to spread the company corporate culture of “teamwork” was to accomplish something together. Thank you for being our customers and giving us a purpose for our work.
